The on-board AIM ASSIST is a simple to use semi-automatic satellite acquisition interface that uses an impressive array of sensors including GPS, inclinometer and electronic compass combined with a very intuitive command and control touch screen interface that will take the user through every stage of the satellite finding process.

The Scorpion Lite Manpack Terminal is a flexible and reliable satcom terminal that provides you with fast and dependable data and voice communication in any situation. Whether you are operating in challenging environments, remote areas, or disaster zones, the Scorpion-lite can excel.
The Scorpion-lite is simple to install and use, with a user-friendly interface and a durable design.
You can use it to send emails, make calls, stream videos or access secure networks with ease. The battery life of the Scorpion-lite is impressive, lasting up to 3 hours on a single charge. It is a highly integrated satcom terminal, small, light weight and everything you need to communicate is in one single IATA compliant case, this allows the Scorpion-lite to be easily transported on any aircraft world-wide.
Fast Deployment – Once at your desired location the Scorpion-lite is very fast and easy to put together, made up of only 7 rugged and easy to assemble pieces requiring no tools, the Scorpion-lite can be assembled in minutes.
Easy Pointing – The Scorpion-lite is equipped with an ingenious onboard manual pointing assistant instructor (MPAD3) designed to provide you with a full set of intelligent features and tools to allow easy access to any satellite network. The assistant will provide step-by-step instructions to the user with all the information messages are displayed on an integrated high-definition, ultra-bright display.
Network Ready – The Scorpion-lite integrated with either the ST Engineering IQ200 or the MDM2510 and is fully intra-operable with openAMIP.
Local Operation – The MPAD3 has a set of operation screens that will allow the user you to access critical information from all the terminal subsystems including beacon receiver signal level expansion screen and BUC / modem monitoring, this allows full diagnostic and set up without the need for a laptop or tablet.
Remote Operation – There is a fully featured web based GUI for remote command and control functionality allowing for up to 30 satellites to be programmed into the database. Other features of the command and control include; mimic of terminal interface, manual input for GPS – just in case of jamming, satellite database entry, LNB support and control.
Satcom as a Managed Service (SaaMS) – The Scorpion-lite is fully certified on the INTELSAT Flex platform and can be deployed globally for fast high-speed and reliable broadband utilising the AIM ASSIST with openAMIP protocols the terminal will assist and instruct which satellite to use and how / where to point.
The Holkirk TP100 is a state-of-the-art, ultra-fast, quick-deployable antenna system designed by Holkirk Communications. It stands out for its exceptional uplink speeds, exceeding 10Mbps, and its versatility for various broadcasting and communication needs.
The unique design of the TP100 will not only allow for operation on traditional Ku-Band satellites but also allow access to multiple Ka-Band payloads, increasing the number of options to get your broadcast on the air (this will be achieved with a separate feed arm in a separate flight case).
The TP100 can be offered with a ruggedised IP modem and ruggedised WiFi router. The IP modem will be attached to the rear of the antenna thus reducing the length of L-Band cables.
There is space and weight budget to include the IP modem within the 2 off IATA compliant cases.
The ruggidised WiFi router has the ability to create a WiFi hot-spot or use the WiFi as a separate WAN interface, it also has two GSM modem radio’s to give 3G/4G WAN capability. There is space and weight budget to include the IP modem within the 2 off IATA compliant cases.
Once the antenna has been assembled (typically under 5 minutes) the satellite can be found by using our AIM ASSIST hand-held device which will assist in the pointing to any satellite.
The AIM ASSIST pointing device has an integrated GPS, electronic compass and inclinometer that will give the user a target azimuth/elevation and polarisation position and actual read-out for the true position of all the axis. The AIM ASSIST has a built-in signal strength meter to allow accurate peaking to the satellite.
The Holkirk TP120 is a state-of-the-art flyaway antenna system designed for rapid deployment in challenging environments. Manufactured from a combination of carbon fibre, aluminium alloy, and high-performance engineering polymers, this system is built to withstand the harshest conditions while maintaining exceptional performance.
The TP120’s design incorporates six-segment carbon fibre antenna technology, ensuring a lightweight yet robust structure. The system’s folding feed arm simplifies assembly and reduces the need for long unsupported cables. For operations on soft terrain, optional sand feet provide additional stability. In case of an auto-pointing system failure, manual overrides ensure that transmission capabilities are retained.
Portability
Holkirk has meticulously allocated parts to each case to ensure that no single case exceeds 23kg, making the system IATA compliant and reducing the risk of injury during transportation. The rugged cases provided are waterproof, impact-resistant, and designed for the safe transport of the system, whether for short or long-haul trips.
