The Holkirk 1:1 RF Switching System is an advanced solution designed to ensure continuous operation of satellite communication systems. It includes a robust RF Waveguide Switch, an RF Dummy Load, a comprehensive waveguide network, and a sophisticated switching controller.
RF Waveguide Switch: Precision-engineered to seamlessly switch between active and backup units without interrupting the signal flow.
RF Dummy Load: Capable of absorbing the output of the transmitter when the system is in standby or test mode, ensuring protection of the system.
Waveguide Network: Custom-designed to distribute RF signals efficiently within the system.
Switching Controller: The heart of the system, providing intelligent control and monitoring of the switching operations.
The switching controller software can be integrated into the Holkirk AIM MOBILE antenna controller or be supplied with a standalone controller interface.
The controller is ½ rack width and 2RU high with ultra hi-definition touch screen display. There is also ethernet connection for remote access to the main BUC command pages with 2 X USB connections for a keyboard and mouse.
The user can clearly see the status of the BUC that is transmitting to the antenna, and which is currently to load
Advanced 3D CAD Software: Utilization of the latest 3D CAD software for precision in design and customization, enabling complex waveguide network configurations.
Customization: Ability to create tailored waveguide solutions that meet specific customer requirements.
BUC Controller kit:
The BUC controller is a ½ rack unit wide and 2 RU in height. The controller kit includes:
- 1 X BUC controller unit
- 1 X ½ rack unit blanking panel
- 1 X rack mounting bracket
- 1 X packet assembly screws
There is a real time readout of the user BUC information for each BUC with MUTE function and POWER adjustment.
