VSFA or Person-pack satellite terminals, also known as Manpacks and Backpacks, are portable satellite communication systems designed for quick deployment and ease of transport.

These terminals are specifically engineered to be carried and deployed by an individual, often with the ability to have an optional carrying method via backpack straps, making them ideal for field operations where mobility and rapid setup are crucial.

Our Next Generation Land Terminals and VSFA systems leverage the unique strengths of Multi-band operation to create a hybrid architecture aimed at enhancing connectivity and communication resilience. By switching between X, Ku and Ka-band frequencies, the systems can optimise data transmission based on real-time conditions, delivering reliable, high-speed communication services across diverse environments. Furthermore, our terminals integrate cutting-edge technologies like advanced auto frequency band detection and adaptive RF parameter selection to ensure your modem is always set to the correct receive configuration.

The multi-band antenna control unit (AIM) has a non-Geostationary inclined orbit tracking feature to allow the use of inclined orbit networks. This feature is integrated across the entire range, enabling the terminals to track satellites in inclined orbits.

Simple ‘no-tools’ change over between operational frequency ensures quick and effective band selection with minimal down time and effort in the field.
