The TT250 is the latest in large deployable satcom terminals for use by commercial and MIL-COM customers world-wide.

The TT250 can operate in C, X, Ku, and Ka bands, providing flexibility and interoperability with various satellite networks.

 

The Holkirk TT250 is a next-generation, deployable ground station designed to deliver high-performance satellite communications in any environment. Featuring a highly mobile 2.5M carbon fibre reflector and full multi-band capability across C, X, Ku, and Ka frequencies, the TT250 offers seamless interoperability with both commercial and military satellite networks.

Engineered for rapid deployment, the system integrates all drive and control subsystems into a single compact unit that rotates into position, eliminating the need for tools or connectors and dramatically reducing setup time in the field.

Whether supporting tactical operations, broadcast missions, or humanitarian aid, the TT250 combines rugged reliability with intuitive operation, making it the ideal solution for users who demand flexibility, speed and precision in real-world conditions.

For the full Quad Band TT250 system (C, X, Ku and Ka-Band), the system will be supplied into ten ruggedised transport cases to ensure safe and efficient deployment.

The TT250 main antenna unit will consist of two dedicated cases:

  • Case 1 – BASE unit containing the antenna petals/hub and stabilising legs
  • Case 2 – DRIVE Unit containing the AZ/EL/POL drive

RF Options will be supplied in separate cases:-

  • Case 3 – C-Band RF HUB, Feed and Waveguide
  • Case 4 – C-Band BUC / TWTa
  • Case 5 – X-Band RF HUB, Feed and Waveguide
  • Case 6 – X-Band BUC / TWTa
  • Case 7 – Ku-Band RF HUB, Feed and Waveguide
  • Case 8 – Ku-Band BUC / TWTa
  • Case 9 – Ka-Band RF HUB, Feed and Waveguide
  • Case 10 – Ka-Band BUC / TWTa

    Drive Unit Integration

    AZ/EL drive assemblies are housed in the drive unit for streamlined setup. All motor drives are permanently integrated with all the interconnection wiring required for the Antenna Control Unit (ACU), including connections to both digital and analogue sensors and feedback loops.

    This eliminates the need for manual cabling during deployment, significantly reducing setup time and minimising the number of field connections required. The result is enhanced reliability, reduced risk of poor connections, and improved operational readiness in demanding environments.

    Multi-Band Architecture

    The TT250 deliver seamless multi-band SATCOM capability across the full SHF spectrum including  C, X, Ku, and Ka (commercial and MIL) using a quick-change modular architecture that dramatically simplifies field operations.

    At the heart of this flexibility is a fast-swap RF cartridge system that enables operators to transition between frequency bands without tools, connectors, or downtime.

    Each cartridge is pre-configured for its respective band, allowing effortless reconfiguration in under a minute.

    Auto-Sensing Antenna Control Unit (ACU)

    Integrated Antenna Control Unit (ACU) detects installed RF modules and auto-configures system parameters for optimal performance. 

    The TT250 is fully compatible with a wide range of Traveling Wave Tube (TWT) and Solid State Power Amplifier (SSPA) configurations, giving full monitor and control independent of OEM manufacture, giving operators the flexibility to tailor power output to specific mission profiles.

    The integrated Antenna Control Unit (ACU) supports multi-band operation and comes with a 30-satellite database, ensuring precise and reliable communication.

    Next Generation Land Terminals
