1.5M Eutelsat DSNG auto-pointing antenna now with REVGO 250W GaN BUC integration

Oct 4, 2024

The RM150 is an 1.5M DSNG broadcast antenna system that stands out for its exceptional performance, even in the most challenging conditions. Crafted with a high-gain carbon fibre reflector and encased in an aerodynamic full fairing housing, it’s engineered to deliver reliable service worldwide, regardless of the climate.

NOW fully characterized for use across the Eutelsat fleet so no need to perform an ESVA test with full M&C integration of the REVGO 250W BUC

The perfect broadcast solution…

Compliance: The RM150 has full been fully characterised for use on EUTELSAT satellites so no need for ESVA testing.

Easy Installation: The antenna (with 1:1 RF redundant chain) can be fitted onto any vehicle (large or small) due to its integrated ACU and antenna structure load spreading frame design.

Durability: Built to withstand harsh environments, high winds and rough handling, making it suitable for DSNG field operation.

High Performance: Offers reliable and robust satellite connectivity for high data rate video transmission. It can be set up and operational within minutes, providing immediate communication.

User-Friendly Interface: Simplifies operation, even for users with minimal technical expertise with our new AIM antenna controller.

Acquiring Inclined Orbit Satellites

Our AIM control unit is engineered to track non-geostationary (non-GEO) satellites, including those in inclined orbits. These inclined orbit satellites can present challenges due to their unique movement patterns, but the AIM control unit is equipped with sophisticated functionalities to address these challenges.

Toast rack Search Method

One of the key features of the AIM control unit is its ability to perform a toast rack search. This method utilises the beamwidth of the satellite, the inclination angle, and the estimated position (box centre) of where the satellite should be. By carefully calculating these parameters, the AIM control unit systematically scans the sky, ensuring that the antenna is accurately aligned with the satellite’s position. This process optimises the acquisition and tracking of inclined orbit satellites, providing reliable communication links.
